Zepp.solutions unveils specs of new hydrogen-powered truck Europa before its launch.
The Europa Truck will be available in two variants - 350 bar edition, having a range of over 700 km, and 700 bar edition, with a range of over 1,000 km.
Dutch fuel cell system manufacturer and integrator Zepp.solutions has unveiled the specifications of its upcoming hydrogen fuel cell truck Europa. The Europa truck is designed for the European transport sector, with strict EU regulations guiding its development.
The Europa truck boasts several innovative features. With a long-range, sleeper cab, quick refuelling, and the ability to pull an ISO trailer (13.6 m / 45 ft container), the Europa truck offers the same ease of operation and payload capacity as a diesel equivalent. It is based on a proven chassis from a renowned truck manufacturer, ensuring that it is built to the highest standards of quality and reliability.
The first vehicles will be available in the fourth quarter of 2023 as 4×2 tractor units equipped with 350 bar hydrogen storage systems. With over 50 kg of usable hydrogen onboard, these vehicles will have a range of more than 700 km, making them a reliable choice for long-haul trips.
In late 2024, the Europa truck will also become available in a 700-bar hydrogen storage version, providing drivers with even more power and range. With over 80 kg of usable hydrogen, the vehicle will have a range of more than 1000 km on a single filling.
Interested parties can register their interest on Zepp’s website starting today, without obligations. By registering, customers will be able to secure a priority spot in the production queue. More specifications and the final design will be unveiled along with the delivery of the first two trucks to launching customers BCTN Group and VOS Transport Group in Q4 of this year.
