Electric two-wheeler startup Ultraviolette Automotive is all set to start the production of their first bike- the F77. The company is setting up a manufacturing plant near Bengaluru.
Production of the electric bike F77 will begin from the first quarter of 2022. The first batch of bikes will arrive on the market in March 2022.
Ultraviolette Automotive will invest ₹500 crores in the coming years to scale up the enterprise, which includes setting up the new factory.
The manufacturing plant will be spread across 70,000 square feet. In the first year, the company will manufacture 15,000 bikes and eventually scale up the annual manufacturing capacity to 1,20,000 units.
This new plant will provide jobs to around 500 employees over the next 5 years. Currently, the company is hiring full-time employees. You can apply from their official website.
Ultraviolette Founder and CEO Narayan Subramaniam said, “What is planned is about Rs 500 crore over the next three to five years. The facility is spread over 70,000 square feet. The investment is more from an ultraviolet scaling up perspective. We chose this location given its strategic proximity to our R&D facility in Bengaluru. We have received an overwhelming response for the F77, and this facility will help us cater to that demand over the next few years. Most importantly, the F77 has been designed and built indigenously, and over 90% of the vehicle, including the battery packs, will be manufactured using locally sourced components”.
The F77 is an electric sports bike. It is designed in Bengaluru. The max power output of this bike is 25kW. The max speed of the bike is 147km/h. It can accelerate from 0-60 km/h in just 2.9 seconds.
The 4.2kWh battery will give it a range of 130-150km. The F77 is a connected electric motorcycle that comes with remote diagnostics over-the-air (OTA) upgrades, regenerative braking, multiple ride modes, bike tracking, ride diagnostics and a whole lot of other features.
You can signup for the pre-order of this bike. The startup has received over 40,000 booking interests for the F77 from customers in Indian and International markets.
