The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV can be reserved in four different variants in 47 cities across India, with a booking fee of ₹21,000.

Mahindra has announced the start of bookings for its first electric SUV, the XUV400. The booking amount for the vehicle is set at 21,000, and it will be available in four different variants. The XUV400 can be reserved in 47 cities across India from Mahindra’s official website.

Ex-showroom Prices of all four variants are:

  • EC with 3.3 kW charger – ₹15.99 lakh
  • EC with 7.2 kW charger – ₹16.49 lakh
  • EL Single Tone with 7.2 kW charger – ₹18.99 lakh
  • EL Dual Tone with 7.2 kW charger – ₹19.19 lakh

The 47 cities where XUV400 can be booked now are - Guwahati, Hajipur, Patna, Chandigarh, Raipur, New Delhi, Salcete, Ahmedabad, Gandhinagar, Surat, Vadodara, Gurgaon, Faridabad, Jammu, Bangalore, Mangalore, Mysore, Trivandrum, Kozhikode, Kochi, Ernakulam, Indore, Aurangabad, Kalyan, Kolhapur, Mumbai, Nagpur, Nashik, Navi Mumbai, Pune, Thane, Vasai, Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Ludhiana, Mohali, Jaipur, Udaipur, Chennai, Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Agra, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Noida, Dehradun, and Kolkata.

XUV400 EC is powered by a 34.5 kWh battery, which offers an MIDC range of 375 km. It will come with two charger options – a 3.3 kW charger and a 7.2 kW charger. The EL variant is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, offers an MIDC range of up to 456 km, and comes along with a 7.2 kW charger.

The Mahindra XUV400 electric SUV boasts powerful performance, with a 110kW (150PS) output and 310 Nm of torque for both of its variants. It also stands out in its class for its impressive acceleration, reaching 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 150 kmph, making it the fastest non-luxury electric SUV on the market.

The XUV400 comes with a variety of drive modes, including “Fun,” “Fast,” and “Fearless,” which allow the driver to adjust the steering, throttle, and regenerative braking to their preferences. It also includes a unique “Lively mode” that allows for easy, single-pedal driving in heavy traffic. The vehicle is also equipped with a 17.78 cm infotainment system that offers advanced connectivity and superior sound quality.

Built on the platform of the XUV300, which earned a five-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests, the XUV400 also features advanced safety features such as six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX seats, and more. Additionally, the vehicle’s liquid-cooled battery pack is IP67-rated, ensuring optimal performance in a variety of Indian conditions.

The XUV400 electric SUV will be offered in a range of color options, including Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue. The EL variant also comes with the option of a dual-tone Satin Copper color. The vehicle comes with a standard 3-year/unlimited km warranty and an additional 8-year/160,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty for the battery and motor. Deliveries are expected to start in March this year.

XUV400 marks a significant step forward for Mahindra in its efforts to promote sustainable transportation and reduce its carbon footprint. As the demand for electric vehicles continues to grow, it will be interesting to see how the XUV400 performs in the market and how it compares to its competitors.
