May Mobility and Moovit partner to deploy complete autonomous mobility package.

The collaboration between May Mobility and Moovit offers a complete mobility package to cities worldwide, combining May Mobility's AV technology with Moovit's MaaS solutions and urban mobility app.

May Mobility and Moovit have announced a strategic partnership aimed at expanding the reach and efficiency of shared autonomous vehicles and AV microtransit projects. May Mobility, a leader in the development and deployment of autonomous vehicle technology, and Moovit, a leading Mobility as a Service solutions provider, are joining forces to capture a portion of the nearly $2 trillion total addressable market that Frost & Sullivan projected for the mobility-as-a-service sector.

May Mobility’s autonomous vehicle fleets, powered by its unique Multi-Policy Decision technology, will work in concert with Moovit’s urban mobility app and on-demand reservation and routing software. This partnership will enable riders to easily plan, pay, and ride in shared AVs, while providing them a safe, accessible, and sustainable form of mobility in regions around the globe.

The partnership is poised to make a significant impact on the mobility-as-a-service sector, as it combines the expertise of two leading companies in the field. May Mobility’s cutting-edge technology and Moovit’s popular urban mobility app and on-demand reservation and routing software will provide riders with a seamless and hassle-free experience.

Moovit’s urban mobility app, which spans 112 countries and 3,500 cities, provides real-time information and multimodal trip planning for all transportation modes. The company also offers MaaS solutions to private firms, transit agencies, and governments, including fleet management software and on-demand routing via Moovit On-Demand.

Over the past five years, May Mobility has completed 10 separate deployments in the United States and Japan, providing over 320,000 self-driving rides. Presently, AV services are available in Texas, Michigan, and Minnesota, with other deployments set to launch shortly.

This collaboration between May Mobility and Moovit will provide complete mobility solutions to cities worldwide, with a dedicated mobility app featuring May Mobility AVs and other public transit modes like buses and trains. Moovit On-Demand software will also be integrated into May Mobility’s backend, providing additional optimization to AV routes.

The combination of Moovit and May Mobility’s technologies, products, and services will provide communities around the world with more mobility alternatives to choose from,” said Nir Erez, Moovit’s Co-founder and CEO. “We share a vision of filling in the gaps in public and shared autonomous transportation and will work diligently to provide better access to accessible and sustainable transportation.”

“A big part of our go-to-market strategy is to partner with industry leaders that will take our services to the next level. Moovit is a trusted industry leader that serves more than 1.7 billion riders globally, and their services and relationships will further enhance our ability to scale,” said Edwin Olson, Co-founder and CEO of May Mobility. “We look forward to growing this partnership with Moovit through expanded geographic areas and leveraging each other’s strengths to serve all passengers.”
