Hyderabad E-Mobility Week kicks off with "Rall-E", India's largest Electric Vehicle rally.

The Rall-E EV rally during the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week saw participation from various Government organizations and industry partners, including, TSRTC, Citreon, TVS, Ola, and Ather.

The Hyderabad E-Mobility Week started with a bang over the weekend as thousands of electric vehicle (EV) enthusiasts participated in “Rall-E”, India’s largest EV rally. The rally was organized to promote sustainable mobility and showcase Telangana’s progress in EV adoption.

Participants in the rally included owners of electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and electric buses, who rode through various parts of the city to demonstrate the practicality and popularity of EVs. The event was a significant step towards promoting a cleaner and greener mode of transportation in the country.

Two separate electric vehicle rallies took place in the city, starting from People’s Plaza and Miyapur metro station and culminating at the Hitex Exhibition Centre. The People’s Plaza rally was flagged off by Shri Jayesh Ranjan along with renowned actor and writer Adivi Sesh, and several leading industry leaders, including Vikram Garga (Group Head of Marketing at Apollo Tyres), Anurag Sinha (CEO of MG Motor), and Pravin Swaminathan (Head of Business and Product Manager for the APAC Region at Stellantis).

The Miyapur rally was flagged off by actress Sreeleela, along with K.V.B. Reddy (MD & CEO of L&T Metro Rail Limited), the DCP Cyberabad, and representatives from companies such as Mahindra, Hala, and Neo Motions.

The rallies spanned the entire city, highlighting the growing popularity of EVs and the push for sustainable mobility. The events brought together EV enthusiasts, policymakers, and industry leaders to demonstrate the practicality and benefits of electric transportation.

The rally also saw participation from various Government organizations and industry partners including, Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (TSRTC), Citreon, TVS, Ola, Ather, Uber, Gravton, Quantum, Atum Motors, Bud-e Bikes, Pure EV, and Eto among others.

The rally culminated at the HITEX Exhibition centre with a musical concert, wherein the crowd was mesmerized by enthralling performances by Band Buddies (formerly Rooh), Jammers Band, and lyricist Krishna Chaitanya.

The Hyderabad E-Mobility Week will feature top global and domestic companies exhibiting next-gen electrification technologies, innovative products & solutions in the EV and energy storage systems space. The flagship event of the Telangana Government will be held between the 5th - 11th of February 2023.

Other Key events of the Hyderabad E-Mobility Week are:

  • Mobility Next Hyderabad (6th February 2023) – The sustainable mobility summit will take place at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre, featuring global leaders, experts, and policymakers discussing the future of sustainable mobility.
  • CASE StartUp Challenge (7th February 2023) – The Government of Telangana has launched a grand challenge inviting Indian startups to present innovative, feasible, and scalable solutions in Connected, Autonomous, Shared, and Electric (C.A.S.E.) mobility.
  • Hyderabad E-Motor Show 2023 (8th – 10th February 2023) – As part of the Hyderabad e-Mobility Week, the city will host the Hyderabad E-Motor Show 2023, one of the first EV expos in India at the Hitex Exhibition Centre.
  • Hyderabad E-Prix (February 10th-11th, 2023) – The highly anticipated Hyderabad E-Prix, the first-ever Formula E race in India, will occur over two days.
