Volkswagen partners with Mahindra to supply components for electric vehicles.

Mahindra intends to use the MEB electric components such as electric motor, battery system components, and cells in its upcoming Born Electric Platform.

Automakers Volkswagen and Mahindra have signed a partnering agreement to explore the use of MEB electric components for Mahindra’s new Born Electric Platform.

Mahindra is planning to use the MEB electric components such as electric motor, battery system components, and cells in its upcoming Born Electric Platform. The agreement includes rules for the evaluation and supply of the equipment.

The Modular electric drive matrix (MEB) is an open platform designed by Volkswagen. This EV platform and its components allow car manufacturers to build their portfolio of EVs quickly and cost-effectively.

Mahindra will launch the Born Electric Platform in July this year.
