Ola Electric launches S1 Air, its most affordable electric scooter.

The Ola Electric S1 Air has a 2.5 kWh battery pack, 4.5 kW hub motor, 76 km true range, and the deliveries will begin in April 2023.

EV manufacturer Ola Electric has launched its most affordable electric scooter, the S1 Air. The introductory festive offer price of the S1 Air is ₹79,999. After 24th October, the price will increase to ₹84,999.

After capturing half of the premium scooter market in India, Ola Electric is all set to secure below ₹1 lakh market segment with its entry-level electric scooter. This scooter will compete not only with electric scooters but also with petrol scooters like Activa, Pleasure, etc.

The Ola Electric S1 Air is built on the same S1 platform, has the same design as the S1 and S1 Pro, and has the same technology. The difference is in the battery capacity, range, and motor.

The S1 Air comes with a 2.5 kWh Li-ion battery pack, which offers an IDC range of 101 km in the Eco mode. The true range of the scooter is 76 km. Range in the Normal and Sports mode will be less than this.

The entry-level Ola scooter is equipped with a 4.5 kW hub motor. The top speed of the scooter is 90 km/h, and it accelerates from 0-40 km/h in 4.3 seconds. 0-60 km/h can be achieved in 9.8 seconds.

The S1 Air will come with Ola’s in-scooter software, Move OS 3, which means it will have the same tech features as the S1 and S1 Pro. The scooter will also receive all future Move OS updates.

Just like the Pro model, it also has a boot space of 34L. At home, the scooter will take 4.5 hours for a 100% charge. It comes with a 500W portable home charger.

The S1 Air is 25 kg lighter than the S1 Pro. The kerb weight of this scooter is 99kg. It weighs less than any typical petrol scooter. The wheelbase and ground clearance is the same as the pro model.

The S1 Air has a twin fork front suspension and a dual shock rear suspension. While the S1 and S1 Pro come with a Single fork front and Mono shock rear suspension. Both the brakes in the scooter are drum brakes.

It has a 17.78 cm touchscreen display, a 2.2 GHz 8-core processor, 3 GB RAM, Bluetooth, 4G LTE, WiFi, and GPS.

The scooter has a dual-tone body colour and is available in five colour options Porcelain White, Neo Mint, Coral Glam, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver.

The reservation of the Ola Electric S1 Air begins today at ₹999. The purchase window will open in February 2023, and the deliveries will begin in April 2023.
