KIA America announces 2023 Sorento plug-in hybrid.

The 2023 Sorento plug-in hybrid comes with extra features like retractable rear door sunshades, a 115-volt inverter that can charge household items such as a laptop, and a standard Homelink.

KIA America has announced the 2023 Sorento plug-in hybrid. It will be available in the SX-P trim. The Sorento PHEV has an all-electric range of 32 miles. With a Level-2 charger, it can be charged in about 3.5 hours.

The 2023 Sorento plug-in hybrid will come with extra features like retractable rear door sunshades, a 115-volt inverter that can charge household items such as a laptop, and a standard Homelink.

It is already equipped with an upscale interior, technology, standard AWD, and an expansive suite of standard Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including Highway Driving Assist and Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance technology.

It will come standard with ADAS features like Lane Following Assist, Lane Keeping Assist, Driver Attention Warning, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist-Junction Turning, Blind Spot Collision-Avoidance Assist, Rear Cross Traffic Collision Avoidance Assist, Safe Exit Assist, Rear Occupant Alert, Highway Driving Assist, Navigation Based Smart Cruise Control – Curve, Parking Collision Avoidance – Rear, Blind View Monitor, and Surround View Monitor.

The 2023 Sorento PHEV is priced at $49,890.

KIA also announced the 2023 Sorento HEV. It will come in two trims, the EX and the new SX-P. KIA has decided to discontinue the S trim.

The price of all the HEV trims are as follows:

  • EX FWD – $36,590
  • EX AWD – $38,390
  • SX-P – $42,390

The new SX-P trim comes standard with Kia’s AWD system with center locking differential and Drive Mode Select with Snow Mode. Other standard features on the SX-P include 17-inch alloy wheels, LED fog lamps, Smart Power Tailgate, 12.3-inch digital cluster, perforated leather seats, Bose premium audio system, Navigation Smart Cruise Control- Curve, Forward Collision-Avoidance Assist, Surround View Monitor, Blind View Monitor, Parking Distance Warning – Front and Rear, and Second Row Captain’s Chairs.
