Bhavish Aggarwal teases the Li-ion cell made by Ola Electric.
Ola Electric will set up a Giga factory next year to mass-produce Li-ion cells.
Ola Electric is growing faster than any other EV startup in the country. Ten months after the launch of the Ola S1 Pro electric scooter, Ola Electric announced that it is developing an Electric car and the Lithium Ion cell technology.
Today, the CEO of Ola Electric, Bhavish Aggarwal, shared the picture of Ola Electric’s first indigenously made Li-ion cell. He said, “The cell is the heart of the EV revolution. We need to make our own technology to scale faster and innovate. Much more in the pipeline on our cell technology roadmap”.
He also shared that Ola Electric will set up its Giga factory next year to mass-produce Li-Ion cells.
He didn’t share any other information about the cell, like its chemistry or where it would be produced.
