XPENG announces March and Q1 2023 delivery results.

XPENG, a Chinese smart electric vehicle company, has announced its vehicle delivery results for March and the first quarter of 2023. According to the company’s statement, XPENG delivered 7,002 Smart EVs in March, representing a 17% increase over the prior month. The company also delivered a total of 18,230 vehicles in the first quarter of 2023.

The launch of XPENG’s new sports sedan P7i in March has been well received by the market, with its order backlog gathering strong momentum. In March, a total of 3,030 P7 series sedans were delivered, representing a 32% increase month-over-month. The launch of the P7i has also boosted the company’s store traffic, pushing test drive volume to recent heights. The delivery of the P7i began nationwide in March.

On March 31, 2023, XPENG began the rollout of the first phase of XNGP (NGP: Navigation Guided Pilot) to XPENG G9 Max and P7i Max customers in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and Shanghai, and to XPENG P5 P version customers in Shanghai. XNGP is China’s leading full-scenario ADAS platform available in mass-produced models. The company is accelerating the implementation of XNGP to multiple models across multiple cities in China.

XPENG’s announcement highlights the company’s continued growth and expansion in the Chinese electric vehicle market. The successful launch of the P7i and the rollout of the XNGP platform are key milestones for XPENG, as the company seeks to establish itself as a leader in China’s EV industry.
