Volvo to launch the pure electric XC40 Recharge in India on 26th July.

The XC40 Recharge is Volvo's first pure EV in India. It has a WLTP range of up to 418 km.

Volvo has announced the launch date of its first pure electric car in India, the XC40 Recharge. The XC40 Recharge will be launched in India on 26th July 2022.

Volvo was testing this car on Indian roads for a long time. It also offered the car for public test drives in Kolkata and Pune.

The XC40 Recharge is Volvo’s first pure EV in India. It has a WLTP range of up to 418 km. In real life, the range will be less than this. With its twin motor, the peak power of this car is 408 hp, and it can accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 4.9 seconds.

The pure electric XC40 Recharge has built-in Google Maps, Google Assistant, and Google Play. Volvo will offer these services as a subscription for four years. After that, users can buy a continuation of the subscription if they wish to continue using all the services included.

It also supports fast charging. At a 150 kW DC fast charging station, it is possible to charge the battery from 10 to 80% in approximately 28 minutes. Charging it at home will take around 7-8 hours.

The battery of the car has a warranty of 8 years or 160,000km, whichever occurs first.
