Tesla gets incorporated in India.
Tesla got incorporated with the RoC in Bengaluru on 8th January 2021. Appoints three Directors for Tesla India.
Elon Musk’s electric car company- Tesla, has made its official entry in India, with the name Tesla India Motors and Energy Pvt Ltd.
CM of Karnataka Mr. B.S. Yediyurappa tweeted yesterday, informing everyone about this. Tesla got incorporated with the registrar of companies in Bengaluru on 8th January 2021.
The R&D unit of the company is also in Bengaluru. The registered office of Tesla India is on Lavelle Road, Bengaluru.
Tesla India Directors
Tesla has named Vaibhav Taneja, Venkatrangam Sreeram, and David Jon Feinstein as the directors of Tesla, India.
Mr. Vaibhav Taneja is the Chief Accounting Officer. He is working at Tesla since 2017.
Mr. Venkatrangam Sreeram is also an ex-Tesla member. He was the Project Manager for about two years at the company’s China office.
Mr. David Jon Feinstein is the Global Senior Director, Trade Market Access, at Tesla.
Gaurav Gupta, principal secretary, commerce & industries of Karnataka, said, “We have been interacting with Tesla for the last few months, and it is a happy news that they have decided to incorporate their company here. We have impressed upon them that Bengaluru is not only the technology capital but also the aerospace and space capital. For any kind of technology collaboration, it has the right kind of talent pool”.

Tesla is the biggest automobile company in the world in terms of market cap. It has a market capitalization of $805 B.
It was founded in July 2003 by JB Straubel, Martin Eberhard, Marc Tarpenning, and Ian Wright.
Elon Musk is currently the CEO of this company.
Four electric cars Model S, Model 3, Model X, and Model Y of Tesla, are available in the US and Canada market.
Apart from electric cars, it also makes battery energy storage, solar panels, and solar roof tiles.
According to reports, Tesla will launch the Model 3 in India first.
