Tata Motors updates Tigor EV, New tech and luxury features added.

Existing Tigor EV owners will also get the free software update with Multi-Mode Regeneration, iTPMS, and Tyre Puncture Repair Kit, starting 20th December 2022 at Tata Motors authorized service centers.

Tata Motors has updated its electric sedan, the Tigor EV. The new and updated model has over ten new smart features and a premium feel to it. The range has also increased from 306 km to 315 km(ARAI certified). The car is now available in a new Magnetic Red color option and premium interiors like Leatherette upholstery and Leather wrapped steering wheel.

The new features that are added to the Tigor EV are Rain Sensing wipers, Auto Headlamps, Cruise Control, Multi-Mode Regen, Connected Car Technology- Zconnect, Smartwatch Connectivity, iTPMS, and Tyre Puncture Repair Kit, which will be offered as standard across the range. The price of the car has also increased. Now the base model is available at ₹12.49 lakhs.

The updated price of the new Tigor EV is:

  • XE - ₹12,49,000
  • XT - ₹12,99,000
  • XZ+ - ₹13,49,000
  • XZ+ LUX - ₹13,75,000

Existing Tigor EV owners will also get the software update for free. Customers can get their vehicles upgraded with Multi-Mode Regeneration, iTPMS, and Tyre Puncture Repair Kit. Additionally, the existing XZ+ and XZ+ DT customers can also get a Smartwatch connectivity upgrade. This service can be availed by visiting any Tata Motors’ authorized service center starting 20th December 2022.

The battery pack and motor of the car are still the same. It is powered by a 26 kWh liquid-cooled, high-energy density battery pack. The Tigor EV has a peak power output of 55 kW and a peak torque of 170 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 km/h in 5.7 seconds. Both the motor and battery pack are IP67-rated. It comes with an 8-year and 160,000 KM battery and motor warranty. The car scored 4 stars in the crash test by Global NCAP.
