Tata Motors delivers 101 electric cars in a day.

A total of 101 electric cars (70 Nexon EVs and 31 Tigor EVs) were delivered in Chennai.

Tata Motors, on Friday, delivered 101 EVs (70 Nexon EVs and 31 Tigor EVs) in a handover ceremony for customers in Chennai through Srilakshmi Auto Enterprises. This is the highest number of electric vehicles deliveries in a day for Tata Motors.

Tata Motors is leading in the electric four-wheeler market segment. They have an 87% market share in the electric car segment. To date, Tata has delivered over 23,000 electric four-wheelers in India.

Tata Motors is closely working with other Tata Group companies, including Tata Power, Tata Chemicals, Tata Auto Components, Tata Motors Finance, and Croma, to make EVs even more accessible and contribute to the faster adoption of EVs in India.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Ramesh Dorairajan, Senior General Manager, Network Development and EV Sales, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles, said, “It is heartening to see faster adoption of green mobility. We are proud to join the e-mobility movement, serving a purpose for the greater good. This will set an example for other states as well. Tata Motors is constantly working towards educating and enhancing the adoption of electric mobility in India, and we hope that more people join this green wave as we mobilize the nation to #EvolveToElectric.”

Tata Nexon EV

The Nexon EV, an aspirational SUV, delivers a long-range (ARAI certified range of 312km) on a single charge with zero emissions. It comes with a powerful and high-efficiency 129 PS permanent-magnet AC motor, powered by a high capacity 30.2 kWh lithium-ion battery. The Nexon EV comes with dust and waterproof battery pack, which meets IP67 standards. Furthermore, it offers 35 Mobile Apps based connected features, ranging from remote commands and vehicle tracking to driving behavior analytics, navigation, and remote diagnostics.

Tata Tigor EV

With 4 star G-NCAP rating, the Tigor EV is the safest electric sedan in India. It comes packed with a supreme powertrain, infotainment and connected systems, setting new benchmarks. Tigor EV has a 26-kWh high energy density Lithium-ion battery pack which provides an ARAI certified range of 306km. The peak power output is 55 kW, and peak torque is 170 Nm. It goes 0 to 60 kmph in 5.7 seconds. The Ziptron technology delivers high performance through an energy-efficient motor that offers flat torque from the get-go leading to a ‘zippy’ driving experience. The Tigor EV comes with an 8 year and 160,000 KM battery and motor warranty.
