Simple One electric scooter finally launched with 212 km IDC range; Deliveries to start from 6th June.

Simple One electric scooter is equipped with two battery packs - one fixed and one removable, offering an IDC range of up to 212 km.

Simple Energy, an electric two-wheeler startup based in Bengaluru, has launched its highly anticipated electric scooter, the Simple One. The Simple One electric scooter has been launched at a starting price of Rs 1.45 lakh (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Customers can expect deliveries to commence on June 6 in Bengaluru, followed by other cities in the subsequent months, marking the company’s expansion plan.

One of the standout features of the Simple One is its 5kWh lithium-ion battery, carefully engineered to provide a remarkable claimed IDC range of 212km. The battery is divided into two packs - one fixed and one removable - ensuring convenience for users.

Powering the Simple One is a permanent magnet motor, boasting a claimed peak power of 8.5kW (4.5kW continuous) and an impressive 72Nm of torque. These robust specifications allow the scooter to accelerate from 0 to 40kph in a mere 2.77 seconds, with a top speed of 105 kmph, placing it among the fastest electric scooters in its class.

With the portable and home chargers, the battery can be charged from 0 to 80 percent in 5 hours and 54 minutes, providing users with a reasonable charging time. Moreover, utilizing a fast charger, the Simple One can be charged at a rate of 1.5km per minute, reaching 80 percent capacity. Although the fast-charging network is still under development, Bengaluru can expect its operation to commence in August this year.

The scooter comes with a 7-inch TFT display with Android OS. The scooter also has 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, OTA updates, music and call controls, an SOS message feature, geo-fencing, document storage, remote telemetry, fast charger location, and TPMS.

Simple One is available in six colours - Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White, Brazen X, and Light X.

Price of all colour variants are:

  • Brazen Black, Namma Red, Azure Blue, Grace White - ₹1.45 lakh (Ex-showroom)
  • Brazen X and Light X - ₹1.5 lakh (ex-showroom)

Buyers will have to pay extra ₹13,000 for the 750-watt portable charger.
