Rivian increases its production and deliveries in the second quarter.

Rivian registers 4,467 electric vehicle deliveries in the second quarter. It aims to produce 25,000 EVs this year.

EV maker Rivian Automotive Inc announced its delivery and production results for Q2 2022. Both the production and deliveries are Increasing steadily.

Rivian delivered 4,467 electric vehicles in the second quarter, nearly four times more than the preceding quarter. It also increased its manufacturing capacity. The company manufactured 4,401 vehicles at its manufacturing facility in Normal, Illinois.

Rivian currently manufactures R1T pickup truck, R1S SUV, and Delivery Vans for Amazon, which has an 18% stake in the company.

Rivian aims to produce 25,000 EVs this year.

These figures remain in line with the company’s expectations, and it believes it is on track to deliver on the 25,000 annual production guidance previously provided, said the company in a press release.

Rivian’s Illinois factory has a manufacturing capacity of 150,000 vehicles per year. The company intends to increase that to 200,000 by 2023. Rivian is also planning to open its second plant near Atlanta in Georgia in 2025.
