Ola Electric launches new variants of S1 and S1 Air electric scooters.

Apart from the launch of the new variants of the S1 electric scooters, Ola Electric also revealed the teaser of its electric motorcycle.

Ola Electric has just announced the expansion of its electric scooter portfolio with the launch of new variants of its popular models, the S1 and S1 Air.

The S1 portfolio now includes a new 2kWh battery pack variant with the same design and features as the S1 Pro. The S1 Air, on the other hand, has been announced in three new variants, each powered by a 2KWh, 3KWh, or 4KWh battery pack. These new variants are aimed at providing riders with more options for their daily commuting needs.

These new variants are now available for booking through Ola’s website. The purchase window of the new 2kWh S1 will open today, with deliveries starting in March. Reservations for Ola S1 Air are now open for ₹999, and the purchase window, test rides, and deliveries will start from July 2023.

Ola’s new S1 variant is powered by a 2kWh battery, an 8.5 kW motor, and offers the same great acceleration and performance as S1 Pro. Priced at ₹99,999, the new S1 variant provides a 91 km range and a top speed of 90 km/hr, making it a great option for riders who are looking for a cost-effective, yet powerful electric scooter.

The 2kWh Ola S1 will have the same Move OS and other features as the S1 Pro. It will be available in all 11 color options, including Gerua, Matt Black, Coral Glam, Millennial Pink, Porcelain White, Midnight Blue, Jet Black, Marshmellow, Anthracite Grey, Liquid Silver, and Neo Mint.

After the launch of this new variant, the Ola S1 electric scooter is available in three variants:

  • 2kWh S1 - ₹99,999
  • 3kWh S1 - ₹1,09,999
  • 4kWh S1 Pro - ₹1,30,999

Ola launched the S1 Air in October last year. At that time, S1 Air was launched with a 2.5 kWh Li-ion battery pack. Ola has now re-engineered the powertrain and battery packs for the new variants of the S1 Air.

Instead of a single 2.5 kWh battery option, the new Ola S1 Air will now come in three variants, each powered by a 2kWh, 3kWh, or 4kWh battery pack and a 4.5 kW hub motor, with a top speed of 85 km/hr.

The S1 Air’s 2kWh variant offers an IDC range of 85 km, while the 3kWh and 4kWh variants have IDC ranges of 125 km and 165 km, respectively. This gives riders the ability to choose the variant that best fits their range requirements.

The Ola S1 Air electric scooter boasts a distinctive 2-tone body color scheme, available in a range of eye-catching hues: Coral Glam, Neo Mint, Porcelain White, Jet Black, and Liquid Silver. S1 Air is built on the same S1 platform and has the same design and technology as the S1 and S1 Pro.

Starting at ₹84,999 for the entry-level 2 kWh variant, ₹99,999 for the mid-level 3 kWh variant, and ₹109,999 for the top-level 4 kWh variant, the Ola S1 Air offers a range of options for riders to choose from. And for those who had previously reserved the 2.5 kWh variant of the S1 Air during the Diwali reservation window, Ola is upgrading them to the 3 kWh variant at no additional cost.

The ex-showroom price of all S1 Air variants are:

  • 2 kWh variant - ₹84,999
  • 3 kWh variant - ₹99,999
  • 4 kWh variant - ₹109,999

Ola Electric also revealed the teaser of its electric motorcycles. The teaser shows five different electric motorcycles. The launch dates of the motorcycles are not announced. Click Here to watch the video.
