Ola Electric grabs 40% of India's electric scooter market with record monthly sales.

Ola Electric drives Indian EV market with 40% share and record sales, backed by expanding Ola Experience Center network and commitment to sustainability.

Ola Electric, India’s largest electric vehicles company, has clinched an impressive 40% share of the EV scooter market, based on its sales figures for the month of April, 2023. This feat was accomplished on the back of Ola’s highest-ever monthly sales in April, with the company selling over 30,000 units during the month.

In addition to this, Ola also managed to secure the number one position on the sales chart for the eighth consecutive month, reaffirming its dominant position in the Indian EV market.

Ola Electric has been actively augmenting its offline presence through the establishment of numerous Ola Experience Centers (ECs) across India to accelerate the adoption of electric vehicles in the country.

Currently, the company is on the verge of launching its 500th EC and has announced plans to double this figure to 1,000 by August. These centers offer customers a wide range of services at one convenient location, and with 90% of Ola’s customers residing within 20 kilometers of an Ola Experience Center, the company is making significant inroads in establishing a strong retail network.

Ola’s consistent market leadership over the past few months is a testament to the company’s vision of transitioning all two-wheelers in India to electric by 2025.

Anshul Khandelwal, Chief Marketing Officer, Ola, said, “The End of ICE Age is here. The customer of today wants world class EV products. To accelerate this momentum even further, we will continue to expand aggressively on the product front as well as ramp up our D2C network, to cater to this demand.”
