Ola Electric emerges as India's best-selling and fastest-growing EV manufacturer in FY 2022-23.

Ola Electric has emerged as the best-selling and fastest-growing EV manufacturer in the financial year 2022-23. The company’s growth trajectory has been steady and impressive, with Ola Electric clocking its best-ever month in March, selling more than 27,000 units and topping the sales charts for 7 consecutive months.

Ola Electric has been on a spree to open Experience Centers (ECs) across India to enhance accessibility and cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in India. With more than 400 ECs already operational, the company has recently added 50 more ECs in a single day to enhance accessibility and cater to the growing demand for electric vehicles in the country. These centers are designed to offer a range of services to customers at a single location, making it easier for them to explore and purchase Ola Electric’s products.

Moreover, almost 90% of Ola’s customers live within 20 km of an Ola Experience Centre, further increasing the convenience factor for them. The company’s decision to expand its offline footprint comes at a time when the electric vehicle market in India is on the cusp of a major shift, with more and more consumers looking to make the switch to cleaner, greener vehicles.

In addition to its expanding network of Experience Centers, Ola Electric has also been focusing on expanding its product portfolio. The company recently launched three new variants of the Ola S1 Air, which will be delivered starting July 2023. These models are powered by 2KWh, 3KWh, and 4KWh battery packs, providing consumers with a range of options to choose from.

Ola Electric has also launched a new variant for the Ola S1 family, which uses a 2KWh battery that is best suited for city commutes. This move reflects the company’s commitment to offering products that cater to the specific needs of its customers and provides them with the best possible experience.

Ola also started the free upgrade to the front fork design of its S1 electric scooter. Reports had surfaced earlier of the front fork arms of the S1 electric scooter breaking while in use, causing concern among customers and potential customers. The company has improved the front fork design to enhance its durability and strength, thereby increasing the safety of its customers.

Bhavish Aggarwal, Founder and CEO, Ola Electric, said, “FY 23 has truly been a defining year for the EV industry in India. At Ola, we have remained resolute in prioritizing scale, speed, and uncompromising quality standards, all of which have contributed to the company’s consistent leadership position in the market. While last year has been successful in making EVs mainstream, the next couple of years will take the EV revolution to humanity scale, and Ola will be at the forefront of this revolution to lead this paradigm shift.”
