Okinawa surpasses the 2.5 lakh sales milestone.

Okinawa rolled out its 250,000th unit, the popular Praise Pro model, from its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Rajasthan.

Okinawa Autotech, a prominent Indian electric two-wheeler manufacturer, has achieved yet another milestone in fostering the growth of electric mobility in the country. The company announced today that it has reached its 2.5 Lakh sales milestone in India, as it rolled-out its 250,000th unit, the popular Praise Pro model, from its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Rajasthan. The company also announced its target to achieve 10 lakh sales by 2025.

This significant achievement reflects the growing popularity and acceptance of electric vehicles in the country, especially in the two-wheeler segment. As India aims to transition to cleaner and more sustainable modes of transportation, the demand for electric two-wheelers has been on the rise, and Okinawa Autotech has been at the forefront of this shift.

Since its inception in 2015, the company has been leading the charge in the electric vehicle revolution. In 2017, it introduced its first model, the Ridge, and has since built an extensive portfolio of products, with over 540 3S touchpoints and unparalleled after-sales service, all while fostering strong connections with its customers.

The journey towards achieving this significant milestone aligns perfectly with Okinawa’s vision of a sustainable future. By reaching the 250,000 EV two-wheeler sales milestone, the company has made a significant impact, saving approximately Rs. 12.5 billion in petrol costs and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by a staggering 300.3 million kilograms.

In a recent announcement, the company revealed the opening of its inaugural Research and Development (R&D) Center in Italy, Europe, in collaboration with its joint venture partner, Tacita. The partnership will see a total investment of Euros 25 million over the next three years, with a primary focus on developing new products, enhancing existing ones, and creating an all-new e-powertrain to support the next generation of products.

The company is also gearing up to introduce its first electric cruiser motorcycle shortly, followed by other new models in 2023, all aimed at keeping pace with the industry’s rapid growth. To support this expansion, the company is planning to increase its touchpoints to over 1000 dealerships across India by 2025, up from its current count of 542.

Okinawa Autotech’s success story also highlights the potential of the Indian electric vehicle market, which is expected to witness significant growth in the coming years. With the government’s push for electric mobility, coupled with rising consumer awareness and affordability, electric vehicles are poised to become the future of transportation in the country.

Jeetender Sharma, MD & Founder, Okinawa Autotech, said: We are truly overwhelmed and would like to thank our customers & other stakeholders for believing in us and firming Okinawa’s position in the market as a leading electric two-wheeler brand in the country. The 2.5 lakh milestone is a strong testament to the quality of our robust product portfolio and a representation of our unwavering commitment to achieving a sustainable future and meeting the demand of our customers.
