Ampere EV and TVS registered a high jump in their electric two-wheeler monthly sales in November 2022.

The sale of electric two-wheelers in India is on the rise. EV companies are setting new sales records every month. The number of electric two wheeler sales surpassed 75,000 in November 2022.

With the increasing demand for EVs, competition between companies is also increasing. Companies are continuously innovating and coming up with better products. New startups are also entering the space. In November, Ahmedabad-based startup Matter launched India’s first geared electric motorcycle. It comes with a 4-speed gearbox and dual-channel ABS. The bike is equipped with a 10.5 kW electric motor and a 5 kWh liquid-cooled battery. It will offer a range of 125-150 km, depending on speed.

A total of 76,163 electric two-wheelers were sold in November 2022.

Ola Electric secured the first spot in the retail sales list. In November 2022, the company delivered 16,246 units of S1 electric scooters. After the launch of the Ola S1, the sales of the company have increased. Now with the launch of S1 Air, the company has also entered the below ₹1 lakh market segment. For the convenience of its customers, Ola Electric is also establishing its fast charging network across the country. The company has installed over 50 hyperchargers across India and aims to set up more than 1 lakh hyperchargers across 400 cities in India.

Ampere EV registered a high jump in its EV sales in November. The company sold 12,232 electric scooters and is at the second spot in the retail sales list.

Sales of Okinawa declined. The company delivered 9,038 scooters (almost 5,000 less than in October). Hero Electric is in the 4th position with 9,008 deliveries.

TVS also registered an increase in its EV sales. The company registered its highest-ever monthly sales figures of 8,073 in November 2022.

Ather is at number 6 on the sales list, with 7,741 deliveries in November. The recently launched Gen 3 450X is in huge demand. To keep up with the increasing demand, Ather opened its second manufacturing plant in Hosur, Tamil Nadu, and increased its annual production capacity to 420,000 units.

Bajaj delivered 2,987 units of Chetak electric scooters in November. The sales of electric motorcycle maker Revolt declined. The company sold only 524 e-motorbikes last month.
