NIO announces Feb 2023 vehicle delivery results.

In February 2023, NIO delivered 12,157 electric vehicles, a 42.9% month-on-month increase, and a staggering 98.3% year-on-year growth.

NIO, the Chinese electric vehicle (EV) manufacturer, has announced sales figures for the month of February, delivering a total of 12,157 vehicles. This includes 5,037 premium smart electric SUVs and 7,120 premium smart electric sedans, marking a 42.9% month-on-month increase and a staggering 98.3% year-on-year growth. These sales numbers bring the total number of vehicles delivered to 310,219.

Furthermore, from January to February 2023, NIO delivered a total of 20,663 vehicles, representing a year-on-year increase of 30.9%. The company’s growth is a testament to the rising popularity of EVs in China, where government policies and consumer demand have been driving the shift towards sustainable transportation.

In addition to its impressive sales figures, NIO has announced plans to expand its battery swap network in China. The company plans to build 1,000 new battery swap stations in 2023, bringing its cumulative total to more than 2,300 stations. Of the 1,000 new stations, 600 will be deployed in urban areas, particularly in tier-3 and tier-4 cities and counties where there is a certain base of users with no power swap station available currently.

Battery swap technology is an important feature of NIO’s business model, providing an alternative to traditional EV charging methods that can take hours to complete. Battery swapping allows EV drivers to replace their depleted battery with a fully charged one in just a few minutes, extending the range of their vehicle and eliminating the need for extended charging times.

The expansion of NIO’s battery swap network is an important step towards making EVs more accessible to a wider range of consumers, particularly in areas where charging infrastructure is limited.
