Nexon EV becomes the fastest EV to travel from Kashmir to Kanyakumari.

Nexon EV covered a distance of 4003 kilometers in just 95 hours and 46 minutes, completing the Kashmir to Kanyakumari drive in under four days.

Tata Motors has announced that their popular electric vehicle, the Nexon EV, has successfully set a new record by covering the ‘Fastest’ drive from Kashmir to Kanyakumari by an EV. The feat has now been registered in the India Book of Records.

The Nexon EV covered a distance of 4003 kilometers in just 95 hours and 46 minutes, completing the drive in under four days. This achievement proves the vehicle’s ability to undertake long multi-city trips with ease, showcasing its performance and durability.

The successful journey was made possible due to the enhanced and uninterrupted public charging network present on the Indian highways. The Nexon EV spent a total of 28 hours during the trip, resulting in only 21 stops for fast charging. This saved a considerable amount of time compared to an ICE vehicle.

Not only did the E-SUV save time, but it also saved a significant amount of money when compared to a traditional internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicle.

Throughout the drive, the Nexon EV was driven just like any other car, navigating challenging terrains and extreme weather conditions, while easily delivering an average real-world range of over 300 kilometers. The company’s leadership team also had the pleasure of enjoying the beautiful drive, experiencing the stunning landscapes of India during the trip.

In addition to setting the ‘Fastest’ Kashmir to Kanyakumari drive by an EV record, the Nexon EV has also set an impressive 23 additional records.

This remarkable feat highlights the increasing popularity of electric vehicles in India and the advancements in the country’s public charging infrastructure. The record-setting journey by the Nexon EV is a testament to the vehicle’s performance and endurance, proving that EVs are a viable option for long-distance travel.

Tata Motors has been at the forefront of India’s transition towards electric mobility, and the success of the Nexon EV is a step in the right direction for the company’s commitment to sustainable transportation.

Commenting on this remarkable achievement, Mr. Shailesh Chandra, MD, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd and Tata Passenger Electric Mobility Ltd., said, “The Nexon EV has further validated its capabilities by entering the Indian Book of Records, for the fastest K2K drive by an EV. This achievement is a testament of the enormous competency of the product and the availability of a healthy charging infrastructure across the country – further bolstered by Tata Power’s presence across the country. There was a fast charging station at regular intervals, between 75kms -100kms, which itself is a great feat for India’s EV ecosystem.
