MG Motor India partners with 22 colleges as part of its Nurture program 2023.

The MG Nurture program is aimed at providing hands-on and experiential training on electric vehicles, autonomous and connected vehicles to more than 25,000 students over four years.

MG Motor India has signed agreements with 22 colleges as part of its MG Nurture program, aimed at providing hands-on and experiential training on electric vehicles (EVs), autonomous and connected vehicles to more than 25,000 students over four years.

The program will be conducted in association with technical institutes and includes a Campus to Corporate component to assist students with developing their soft skills and transitioning to the corporate world.

As part of the MG Nurture program in 2023, engineering, diploma, and ITI students from any branch will have the option to take an elective course in connected, autonomous, and Electric Vehicles (EVs) as an add-on to their curriculum.

The course will be offered during the 6th and 7th semesters for engineering students and the 4th and 5th semesters for ITI/Diploma students. Additionally, the company will offer internship opportunities to students on a need basis and prioritize exceptional graduating students for placements under the MG Nurture initiative.

Education partner Skill Lync will offer internships and mentorship opportunities to students, enabling them to acquire valuable experience and skills in a professional environment. Furthermore, the company will work with colleges to design and execute a curriculum that is in line with the latest industry trends and standards.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Rajeev Chaba, President, and Managing Director, MG Motor India, said, With MG Nurture, we intend to provide an impetus to creating a future-ready ecosystem in India with a skilled workforce. Enabling and empowering our youth through continuous skilling, reskilling, and upskilling so that they can contribute to society. The students who participate in this initiative will develop a greater potential and emerge as significant contributors to India’s automobile industry.”
