Mahindra unveils XUV400 electric SUV price, starting at Rs 15.99 Lakh.

The introductory price of the Mahindra XUV400 announced now is applicable for the first 5,000 bookings of each variant, after which the prices will go up.

Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. announced the price of the XUV400, its first electric SUV. XUV400 will be available in two variants - EC and EL. The ex-showroom price of the EC variant is ₹15.99 lakh, and the EL variant is ₹18.99 lakh. The first 5,000 bookings will have these introductory prices, after which the prices will go up.

Bookings for the XUV400 will begin on January 26, 2023, with the launch taking place in 34 cities during the first phase. Delivery of the XUV400 EL will commence in March 2023, while the XUV400 EC will be delivered during the Diwali festive season.

Customers can now take test drives at their closest dealership. Phase 1 of the launch will cover these 34 cities: Ahmedabad, Surat, Jaipur, Mumbai MMR, Nasik, Verna (Goa), Pune, Nagpur, Bangalore, Chennai, Trivandrum, Cochin, Hyderabad, Chandigarh, Delhi NCT, Kolkata, Dehradun, Coimbatore, Aurangabad, Bhubaneshwar, Kolhapur, Mysore, Mangalore, Vadodara, Patna, Calicut, Raipur, Ludhiana, Udaipur, Jammu, Guwahati, Lucknow, Agra, and Indore.

XUV400 EC is powered by a 34.5 kWh battery, which offers an MIDC range of 375 km. It will come with two charger options - a 3.3 kW charger and a 7.2 kW charger. The price of the XUV400 EC with a 3.3 kW charger is ₹15.99 lakh, and with a 7.2 kW charger is ₹16.49 lakh.

XUV400 EL is powered by a 39.4 kWh lithium-ion battery, offers an MIDC range of up to 456 km, and comes along with a 7.2 kW charger. The price of the EL variant is ₹18.99 lakh.

The Mahindra XUV400 offers 110kW (150PS) and 310 Nm torque for both its variants. It also boasts the fastest acceleration in the non-luxury e-SUV segment, reaching 0-100 kmph in just 8.3 seconds and a top speed of 150 kmph.

The XUV400 is a C-segment SUV that measures 4200mm in length and has a wheelbase of 2600mm. This offers its occupants not only ample cabin and legroom, but also best-in-class storage with a boot space of 378 litres/418 litres (up to the roof).

The vehicle also comes with multi-drive modes (Fun, Fast, and Fearless) that tune the steering, throttle, and regen simultaneously. Its ‘Lively mode’ single-pedal drive mode allows for a smooth and effortless driving experience in heavy traffic. Additionally, it features a 17.78 cm infotainment system providing top-notch connectivity and unmatched acoustics.

The XUV400 is built on the XUV300 platform, which received a five-star safety rating in Global NCAP crash tests. It comes equipped with advanced safety features such as six airbags, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX seats, and more. The liquid-cooled battery pack is IP67-rated, ensuring optimal performance in diverse Indian conditions.

The eSUV will be available in five dynamic color options: Arctic Blue, Everest White, Galaxy Grey, Napoli Black, and Infinity Blue, with the option of a dual-tone Satin Copper. The vehicle also comes with a standard 3-year/unlimited km warranty and an additional 8-year/160,000 km (whichever comes first) warranty for the battery and motor.

  • EC with 7.2 kW charger - ₹16.49 lakh
  • EL with 7.2 kW charger - ₹18.99 lakh
