Mahindra to launch the all-electric XUV 400 on 8th September.

After the launch, the XUV 400 will compete with Tata Nexon EV, which is the best-selling electric car in India.

Mahindra finally revealed the launch date of its much-awaited all-electric XUV 400. Chairman of Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, revealed on Twitter that Mahindra would launch the XUV 400 on 8th September 2022.

The XUV 400 is expected to have a range of more than 300 km. It will compete with the Tata Nexon EV, which is the best-selling electric car in India.

The all-electric XUV 400 has Mahindra’s ‘twin-peaks’ logo and is expected to have a price between ₹15 to 20 lakhs. The deliveries of this upcoming EV are expected to begin in early 2023.

On Independence Day this year, Mahindra revealed its future plan for EVs. Mahindra revealed five electric SUVs, XUV.e8, XUV.e9, BE.05, BE.07, and BE.09, and two EV brands.

All five SUVs are based on Mahindra’s new state-of-the-art INGLO EV platform. The new EV platform offers class-leading safety standards, exhilarating performance, excellent range and efficiency, exemplary driving dynamics, versatility, and an intelligent human-machine interface.

Mahindra will launch these new electric SUVs between 2024 and 2026.

Mahindra has also partnered with Volkswagen for EV components. Volkswagen will supply its MEB components, including the electric drivetrain, the battery system, and Volkswagen’s unified cell.
