Mahindra launches a Metaverse platform for its first e-SUV, XUV400Verse.

The Mahindra XUV400Verse is powered by Metadome.ai and will act as a platform that combines the brand’s virtual spaces to offer a unique customer experience.

Mahindra launched the metaverse platform for its all-electric XUV400 called XUV400verse. The XUV400verse will enable customers to engage, collaborate, socialize and have an immersive product interaction. It is powered by Metadome.ai and will act as a platform that combines the brand’s virtual spaces to offer a unique customer experience.

  • Virtual Brand Showroom: The immersive virtual showroom bears a strong resemblance to Mahindra’s identity. The showroom has a futuristic design with guided and free-roam journeys, an LED wall showcasing spatial sound interactive avatars (Live and Non-Player Characters - NPCs), and zones with brand-led merchandise and accessories.
  • Customise your own avatar: Visitors in the XUV400verse can create and join with their own avatars and also invite their friends and family for a shared experience.
  • Hyper-realistic 3D car configurator: Users can engage with the hyper-realistic 3D car configurator, which enables real-time customization, switching colours, and exploring the SUV’s features in an immersive format.
  • Virtual test drive: The XUV400verse also hosts a first-of-its-kind virtual test drive, with multiple modes and camera views where the user can learn about the salient features of the SUV in a gamified manner, while the environment also comes with brand billboards and captivating cinematics.

Mahindra launched the XUV400 in September this year. It has a 39.4 kWh Li-ion battery pack, and the claimed range is 456km. It also supports fast charging. It can be charged from 0-80% in 50 minutes with a 50kW DC fast charger. XUV400 can achieve a speed of 0-100 km/h in just 8.3 seconds and has a top speed of 150 km/h.

The test drives of the EV will begin in December 2022, and the bookings will start in the first week of January 2023. The price will also be revealed in January 2023.

Deliveries of the XUV400 will begin at the end of January 2023. In Phase 1 it will be launched in the following 16 cities: Mumbai, Hyderabad, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Goa, Jaipur, Surat, Nagpur, Trivandrum, Nashik, Chandigarh, and Kochi.
