Mahindra Group's Automobili Pininfarina starts production of world's first pure-electric hyper GT Battista.

Automobili Pininfarina will make only 150 units of Battista Hyper GT.

Mahindra Group’s company Automobili Pininfarina has started the production of Battista, the world’s first pure-electric hyper GT. Only 150 units of the Battista Hyper GT will be made for clients worldwide.

Automobili Pininfarina is making the hyper GT at the new Atelier space in Cambiano, Italy. Battista will be hand-crafted by a team of over ten craftspeople.

From start to finish, the assembly of each Battista takes ten weeks, while the hand-painted finish of the Battista Anniversario requires an extended 18-week schedule.

Each individual Battista takes more than 1,250 hours for assembly. The bespoke design features and finish of the exclusive Battista Anniversario extend this up to 1,340 hours.

Each owner will get the opportunity to meet the team behind the vehicle and work in partnership with them to tailor the design of their car and see it being built. Clients can work face-to-face with the designers to configure their Battista.

The Battista is the most powerful road-legal car ever designed and built in Italy. Faster than a current Formula 1 race car in its 0 -100 km/h sub-two seconds sprint, and with 1,900 hp and 2,340 Nm torque on tap, the Battista will combine extreme engineering and technology in a zero emissions package.

The Battista’s 120 kWh battery provides power to four electric motors – one at each wheel – with a combined WLTP range of up to 476 km (296 miles).

Automobili Pininfarina has also ensured a lifetime service of the car for all the owners. A ‘flying doctor’ will fly anywhere worldwide to support the owner with specialist technical matters. With an encyclopaedic knowledge of the Battista, the team of flying doctors has been involved in the car’s development from the ground up.
