Lexus unveils the new all-electric UX 300e.

The new Lexus UX 300e comes with a larger battery pack of 72.8 kWh and over 40% longer range than the current model.

Lexus has unveiled the new and updated model of the UX 300e, its first production Battery EV model. The updated UX 300e comes with a 72.8 kWh newly developed battery pack, which provides a cruising range of 450 km (over 40% longer than the current model).

The new model has a maximum power output of 150 kW and a maximum torque of 300 Nm. For even more refined dynamics, the body rigidity of the car was strengthened with the addition of 20 spot welding points, and the Electric Power Steering (EPS) and shock absorbers were optimally tuned for the all-electric model.

The new UX 300e also comes with an expanded functionality of the Lexus Safety System + active safety technology. It helps to prevent accidents, further reduce traffic injuries and fatalities, and to lighten the burden on drivers.

Lexus has added safety features, such as an improved single-lens camera and millimeter wave radar, Emergency Steering Assist, Lane Tracing Assist, curve speed-control function, Emergency Driving Stop System, etc.

Lexus has also introduced a new digital key feature that enhances customer usability, enables door lock/unlock, and EV System Start via smartphone. A panoramic view monitor with a transparent ground surface image display has also been added to show the road surface conditions and tire position beneath the vehicle.

Lexus has also improved the multimedia system and connected services for an improved customer experience. Now the UX 300e will come with a 12.3″ touch display with a larger size/higher resolution and an intuitive state-of-the-art multimedia system for ease of use.

In addition, the shapes and switch layout of the instrument panel and console area has been optimized in accordance with the use of the touch-screen display, and two new charging USB connectors (Type-C) have been added to the front of the console for improved usability.
