Kabira Mobility launched two new electric bikes in India.
Both the bikes KM 3000 & KM 4000 are high-speed bikes and have a range of 100+ km.
EV startup from Goa- Kabira Mobility launched two electric bikes- KM 3000 & KM 4000. Both these bikes are high-speed EVs and are Made in India.
The company has named KM 3000 as an electric sports bike and KM 4000 as a street fighter. CEO of Kabira Mobility, Mr. Jaibir S Siwach, launched these bikes in a virtual event. It took two years to design the bikes and unveil them.
The ex-showroom price of KM3000 is ₹1,26,990, while that of KM4000 is ₹1,36,990.
Bookings for the bikes will begin from March 2021, and deliveries will start in May. Initially, the bikes will be available in Delhi, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Pune, Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai.
After August 2021, it will be available in other 50 Indian cities.
KM3000
KM3000 is a high-speed electric sports bike. The Li-Ion battery with LFP cells provides a range of 120km. It has three driving modes- Eco, City, and Sports. 120km of range is achievable in the eco mode, 95km in the city mode, and 60 km in sports mode.
The top speed is 100km/h, which it achieves in sports mode. The motor of KM3000 is made by Delta EV. The continuous power of the motor is 3.5kW, and the peak power is 6kW.
It also has quick acceleration. It reaches 0-40 km/h in just 3.1 seconds.
The battery capacity is 4kWh, and the nominal voltage is 73.6V. The batteries are fireproof, waterproof, Shockproof, and all-weather friendly.
Charging the battery in normal mode takes 6 hours and 30 minutes, while fast charging takes only 2 hours. Both the brakes have a single disc brake with CBS.
The ground clearance of 170mm makes it comfortable to ride on Indian roads.
The smart features of the bikes include a Smart Dashboard, Bluetooth connectivity, keyless start/stop, KM connect mobile app connection, IP67 rated motor with dual sensor, and Anti-theft alarm.
The ex-showroom price of KM3000 is ₹1,26,990.
KM4000
KM4000 is an electric bike launched by Kabira Mobility. The company claims that it is the fastest electric bike in India. The top speed of this bike is 120km/h.
This bike has a range of 150km per charge.
The rider gets the maximum range in the Eco mode and the top speed in Sports mode. City mode gives a range of 110km, while sports mode provides a 90km range.
The Li-Ion battery has a capacity of 4.4kWh. It comes with three years of warranty and 2000 charge cycles.
The battery is put inside a hybrid case which makes it water, dust, and fireproof.
The BLDC Hub motor has a continuous power of 5kW and a peak power of 8kW.
Charging the battery in normal mode takes 6hours and 30 minutes, while fast charging takes only 2 hours.
The smart features of KM4000 are the same as KM3000.
The ex-showroom price of KM4000 is ₹1,36,990.
Kabira Mobility new manufacturing plant.
During the launch of these bikes, the CEO of Kabira Mobility, Mr. Jaibir S Siwach, also talked about their new manufacturing plant.
The new manufacturing plant is in Dharwad, Karnataka. It will become fully functional from March 2021. The monthly production capacity of this plant is 75,000 units. This plant is spread across 2 lakh sq ft area. It will provide jobs to 4000-5000 local people.
Currently, the company has two plants in Goa and Karnataka with a monthly production capacity of 25,000 units.
