Hyundai displays IONIQ 6 at 2022 Automobility Los Angeles.

IONIQ 6 is one of Hyundai's 17 BEV models that the company will launch by 2030. It will go on sale in spring 2023.

The 2023 Hyundai IONIQ 6 made its North American debut at AutoMobility Los Angeles. IONIQ 6 is inspired by Hyundai’s Prophecy EV concept and is built on the Electric-Global Modular Platform (E-GMP). It is one of Hyundai’s 17 BEV models that the company will launch by 2030. It will go on sale in spring 2023. The price of the car will be announced closer to the on-sale date.

Hyundai revealed the IONIQ 6 in July this year. It is Hyundai’s most aerodynamic car and is available with a range of drive motors and battery packs to fit the needs of every customer. The long-range version has a 77.4 kWh battery, providing a WLTP range of 610 km. A standard variant of the IONIQ 6 is also available with a 53 kWh battery.

The top variant comes with a dual motor AWD setup that produces a combined power output of 320 horsepower (74 kW front + 165 kW rear) and 446 ft.-lbs. of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 60 MPH in less than 5 seconds. The single-rear-motor layout offers 225 horsepower (168 kW) and 258 ft.-lbs. of torque.

With a 350-kW charger, IONIQ 6’s charge can go from 10 percent to 80 percent in just 18 minutes. Approx 65 miles range can be added in just five minutes by using a 350-kW fast charger. The standard 10.9 kW on-board charger completes a full charge in 7 hours and 10 minutes using Level 2 charging. The car also provides an innovative V2L function, which allows customers to freely use or charge any electric devices, such as electric bicycles, scooters, or camping equipment.

IONIQ 6 is equipped with the next level of Hyundai SmartSense advanced driver assistance systems, with features like Collision warning, Collision avoidance assist, Safe Exit warning, Smart Cruise Control, Lane Following Assist, Highway Driving Assist, etc.
