Hero MotoCorp displays Vida V1 at the Hero World Challenge in Bahamas.

Hero MotoCorp will also launch the Vida V1 electric scooter in European, Asian, and Latin American countries in the near future.

Hero MotoCorp displayed its first electric vehicle, Vida V1, on the global stage at the Hero World Challenge in the Bahamas. Hero World Challenge is an invitation-only PGA TOUR tournament hosted by legendary golfer Tiger Woods at The Albany in the Bahamas.

Tiger Woods also took a look at the Vida V1 electric scooter. He said: Pawan Munjal(Chairman and CEO of Hero MotoCorp) has given all of India and many other places around the world, vehicles in which they can ride, that is fantastic. Now it’s gone electric, gone green, just to help us; help the world get greener. It’s neat to see what Pawan has done and what he’s continuing to do.”

Hero launched its first electric two-wheeler Vida V1 in October this year. The scooter will be available in two variants- V1 Pro and V1 Plus. The company claims that the V1 Plus will have a range of 143 km, and the Pro variant will have a range of 165 km. Both variants have a top speed of 80 km/h and come with fast charging support at a rate of 1.2 km/min.

The scooter will come with smart features like a 7-inch touchscreen display, cruise control, keyless control, find my scooter function, SOS alert, and two-way throttle for reverse, parking, boost mode, etc. It also has a customizable riding mode in which the rider can customize the performance, range, and regen according to their needs.

The ex-showroom price of both variants are:

  • V1 Plus- ₹1,45,000
  • V1 Pro- ₹1,59,000.

Hero is launching the scooter in Delhi, Bengaluru, and Jaipur first. Deliveries in these three cities will begin in December. Hero also opened its first ‘Vida Experience Center’ in Bengaluru in India recently. New experience centers in Delhi and Jaipur are also coming soon. Bookings for other cities will be started in December.
