FLO Joins U.S. Department of Energy Initiative to Enhance EV Charging Experience.

The group consisting of FLO and other industry leaders will work closely with the DOE to measure and identify areas for improvement in the customer experience with public EV charging stations.

FLO, a prominent North American EV charging company and smart charging solutions provider, has been announced as a founding member of a new initiative spearheaded by the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE). The initiative aims to enhance the EV charging experience for Americans and ensure the reliability of public charging infrastructure.

FLO’s involvement in this groundbreaking effort comes through their membership in the National Charging Experience Consortium, also known as the ChargeX Consortium. This collaborative group of industry leaders will work closely with the DOE to measure and identify areas for improvement in the customer experience with public EV charging stations.

One of the primary goals of the ChargeX Consortium is to ensure that public charging stations function more reliably for EV drivers. This objective aligns with federal requirements demanding a minimum uptime of over 97% to guarantee that customers can seamlessly charge their vehicles at public charging stations across the nation.

By joining forces with the DOE and other influential members of the ChargeX Consortium, FLO is set to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of EV charging infrastructure. The company’s extensive experience in the EV sector, combined with their reputation for delivering smart charging solutions, makes them a valuable asset in this endeavor.

“There is no doubt ChargeX Consortium will be crucial for the future of America’s EV industry and FLO supports its ultimate mission to improve EV charging infrastructure across the U.S.,” said Cory Bullis, Director of Public Affairs at FLO. “Together with our industry partners, our work has the potential to not only transform the way we power our vehicles, but also help pave the way for a more sustainable future. FLO is proud to join this important initiative as part of our commitment to provide the best EV charging experience to consumers.”
