Fisker Ocean Extreme achieves 701 km/436 miles range with 22-inch wheels.

Fisker Ocean has completed all necessary FMVSS testing required for self-certification with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

Fisker announces that the all-electric Fisker Ocean Extreme equipped with optional 22” wheels and tires achieved a combined WLTP range of up to 701 km/436 miles. This follows the company’s announcement earlier this month that the Ocean SUV achieved a range of 707 km/440 miles on standard 20″ wheels and tires, making it the longest-range battery-electric SUV available in Europe.

The Fisker Ocean Extreme, which comes with optional 22″ wheels and tires, has been designed with sophisticated engineering that ensures minimal impact to the WLTP range compared to the standard 20″ wheels. The vehicle’s battery, motors, brakes, and tires have been expertly engineered to achieve this impressive feat, and the aerodynamic design of the wheel arch lining and underbody elements of the SUV optimize airflow, further enhancing the vehicle’s performance and driving experience.

In addition to the Ocean Extreme, Fisker will also release a limited edition version of the Ocean SUV, called the Fisker Ocean One. The Ocean One will have the same impressive range as the Ocean Extreme and will feature a range of unique design features and upgrades.

Recently, the company announced that it has completed all necessary FMVSS testing required for self-certification with the US National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). The vehicle also meets the New Car Assessment Program (NCAP) standards for a 5-star rating.

The company is also pursuing a Certificate of Conformity (CoC) with the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to validate the Ocean Extreme range. The company has provided the EPA with a complete vehicle description and range test data recorded during a rolling road test at an independent, third-party test laboratory.

These WLTP range results for the 20” and 22” wheels and tires are another example of the Fisker Ocean leading with design, innovation, and sustainability. Our talented engineering team has gone over every detail to deliver best-in-market range combined with high-quality craftsmanship to our Fisker Ocean Extreme European customers,” Chairman and CEO Henrik Fisker said.
