Bajaj launches upgraded Chetak Electric Scooter with premium features.

The new Bajaj Chetak comes with a large all-colour LCD console and is available in three eye-catching colours – Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue, and Satin Black.

Bajaj Auto, one of India’s leading two-wheeler manufacturers, has launched an upgraded version of its popular electric scooter, the Chetak. The new 2023 Edition comes with a host of premium features and design elements that are sure to delight electric vehicle enthusiasts.

The Chetak Premium – 2023 Edition is available in three eye-catching colours – Matte Coarse Grey, Matte Caribbean Blue, and Satin Black. The scooter’s classic form has been enhanced with exquisite detailing and the use of premium materials. A new feature is a large all-colour LCD console that displays vehicle information with intuitive clarity.

The Chetak Premium 2023 Edition boasts a premium two-toned seat, body-coloured rear view mirrors, a satin black grab rail, and matching pillion footrest castings. The headlamp casing, blinkers, and central trim elements are now lustrous Charcoal Black, adding signature flair to this impeccable design.

The all-metal body of the Chetak Premium – 2023 Edition houses an efficient onboard charger and other industry-leading features. The scooter is powered by a 2.88 kWh battery that delivers a range of up to 95 km on a single charge. The motor is the same 4.2 kW(5.3 bhp), which delivers a peak torque of 20 Nm.

The Chetak Premium 2023 Edition is priced at Rs 1,51,910 (ex-showroom, Bengaluru). Bookings for the Chetak Premium 2023 Edition are now open, and deliveries will commence in April.

Bajaj Auto has also restructured its two-wheeler electric vehicle (EV) supply chain to increase the production of Chetak e-scooters to over 10,000 units per month. The company aims to expand its presence across India with a target of nearly 100 stores across 85 cities by the end of March 2023.

Currently, Chetak is available in over 60 cities in India, and the company plans to rapidly expand its footprint in the coming months. To enhance the customer experience, over 40 of these stores are exclusive Experience Centres, offering a rich purchase experience. Additionally, all Chetak dealerships have exclusive service centres to provide customers with a trustworthy and reliable ownership and operating experience.

Recently, Yulu launched two new electric two-wheelers, the Miracle GR and DeX GR, that are designed and manufactured by Bajaj. These products are the result of a successful combination of Yulu’s AI-driven technology stack and Bajaj Auto’s extensive research and development capabilities and manufacturing expertise.
