Aventose Energy unveils S110, an electric scooter designed for Indian masses.

Aventose S110 will come with AIS 156 phase 2 compliant battery and multiple layers of safety features.

Chennai-based electric two-wheeler startup Aventose Energy has made a significant stride in the Indian electric vehicle market by unveiling its latest offering, the S110 electric scooter. The company’s primary target market for the S110 is the segment of consumers currently using 100-125cc petrol two-wheelers, which accounts for approximately 85% of the overall Indian two-wheeler market.

The Aventose Energy electric scooter comes in two variants, namely the S110 and S110 ER. The S110 variant offers an impressive range of 85 km on the road, with a torque of 156 Nm wheel and a maximum speed of 60 Kmph. The electric scooter weighs 115 kg, including the battery, and is equipped with a PMSM mid-mounted drive system. Its motor has a peak power of 2.3 kW and a rated power of 1.9 kW, while the battery has a capacity of 1.9 kWh. The scooter has a ground clearance of 175 mm and uses 17″ front and rear tires with CBS disc brakes. The S110 also offers the option of swapping batteries and comes with fixed charging and removable batteries. The ex-showroom price of the S110 with Fame 2 is targeted at INR 90,000.

The S110 ER variant, on the other hand, offers an even more impressive range of 120 km on the road, with the same torque and maximum speed as the S110. It weighs 121 kg, including the battery, and is equipped with a PMSM mid-mounted drive system. Its motor has a peak power of 3.6 kW and a rated power of 3 kW, while the battery has a capacity of 3 kWh. The S110 ER has the same ground clearance, tire sizes, and brakes as the S110 and offers the option of swapping batteries, as well as fixed charging and removable batteries. The ex-showroom price of the S110 ER with Fame 2 is targeted at INR 1,05,000.

The S110 electric scooter has been designed based on detailed Voice of Customer (VoC) interviews conducted by Aventose Energy. The company has taken feedback from male and female riders of various ages from tier 1, 2, and 3 cities to ensure that the product meets the expectations and requirements of its target market. Additionally, the company has also gathered insights from dealerships, e-commerce companies, fleets, and service centers to identify common failures and problems faced due to the shortage and lead time of spare parts.

The S110 electric scooter boasts a versatile charging system that allows the user to charge it anywhere using the removable battery, which can be swapped at designated swapping stations or charged at public charging stations. This charging system ensures that the adoption of the S110 is independent of the type of charging infrastructure or the lack thereof.

All of Aventose’s products, including the S110, are equipped with AIS 156 phase 2 compliant batteries that feature multiple layers of safety provided by a Vehicle Control Unit (VCU). This makes the S110 one of the safest electric vehicles on the road.

Aventose has meticulously implemented all the feedback and inputs collected during the Voice of Customer (VoC) interviews into the design features of the S110. As a result, the S110 is a rugged, multi-utility, multi-age, and unisex vehicle suitable for urban and rural customers not only in India but also in Europe, APAC, and Africa.

With the S110 electric scooter set to hit the market soon, Aventose is currently seeking dealership partners in Chennai, Bangalore, Delhi, Ahmedabad, and Pune for the first stage of expansion.

Aventose Energy’s decision to focus on the 100-125cc petrol two-wheeler market is a smart move as this segment has traditionally been dominated by petrol vehicles. However, the increasing environmental concerns and the rising cost of petrol have made electric two-wheelers a viable and attractive alternative.
