Ampere Primus price announced; Priced over 1 lakh, Will compete with Ola S1 Air.

Ampere Primus electric scooter boasts a 3 KWh LFP battery, a 4kW mid-mount motor, and smart Bluetooth connectivity and navigation through a phone app.

Ampere has announced the ex-showroom price of its latest high-speed electric scooter, Primus. The company has priced the vehicle at ₹1,09,900, which includes FAME II subsidies, and will be available for purchase across India. Primus is open for bookings online & at dealerships for ₹499 for a limited period across markets.

Ampere unveiled the Primus electric scooter at Auto Expo this year. The scooter offers optimum safety with an LFP battery pack, improved performance with a PMS motor, belt drive, and a smart connected cluster for seamless navigation. Primus is made for customers seeking a superior experience in terms of styling, performance, comfort, and reliability. It is designed, developed, and manufactured in India, with a high degree of localization, using domestically sourced components.

The Ampere Primus boasts a 3 KWh LFP battery with smart BMS, providing a true range of over 100 km on a full charge. The scooter is powered by a 4kW mid-mount motor, enabling it to reach a top speed of 77km/h and achieve acceleration from 0 to 40 km/h in under 5 seconds. With 4 riding modes, including Eco, City, Power, and Reverse, the Primus offers versatile performance to cater to a variety of riding conditions.

In addition to its impressive performance, the Primus also features smart Bluetooth connectivity and navigation through a phone app, adding convenience for the rider. The scooter will be available in 4 metallic matt colors, including Himalayan White, Royal Orange, Havelock Blue, and Buck Black.

At this price range, Ampere Primus will compete with the recently launched Ola S1 Air. The S1 Air is priced at ₹1,09,999 and features a 4 kWh battery pack and 4.5 kW motor. The deliveries of the S1 Air will begin in July.

Ampere also introduced the new Zeal EX, its entry-level electric scooter. Zeal EX comes with a 2.3 kWh Li-ion battery pack and has an ARAI-certified range of 120 km. The peak power of the motor is 1.8 kW, and it provides a maximum speed of 55 km/h. The ex-showroom price of Zeal EX is ₹69,900 in Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Uttar Pradesh, and Jharkhand. Furthermore, buyers can avail of benefits of up to ₹6000. The benefits are valid till 31st March 2023.
